"A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it." - Edward Steichen
Building confidence through creative learning
When it comes to understanding portraiture we can discover so much by looking at the great artists and photographers that have gone before us. How to light your subject, how to create depth and emotion, how to capture the essence of a moment so thats its meaningful. This workshop provides a space to explore your expression whilst delving into the various ways of lighting a subject using both natural and introduced light sources. We will explore the art of connecting, creating a space where your subject can feel at ease and express themselves. Whether your photographing a three year old or a ninety nine year old, these techniques hold the test of time.
